Gibbons Lake is home of the Gambill Goose Refuge, a 600-acre preserve for wild migrating geese and other wildlife. The site is on the Red River Loop, part of the Prairies and Pineywoods East Wildlife Trail. There is no fishing allowed on Lake Gibbons.
